Radisson Blu Podil + Spilne Art

On September 8, the exhibition “Room with a view” was opened at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kyiv Podil City Center, which was created by 5 Spilne Art artists. The theme of the exhibition is the transformation of space, where ordinary things can have a completely new meaning. For 10 days, the artists lived and created in the hotel, where they explored how to find inspiration in everyday, utilitarian things: whether discomfort can be comfortable and who is the artist’s space, the artists is the space, or is it a mutually beneficial partnership.

Elmira Shemsedinova, Anton Tarasyuk, Ksenia Datsyuk, Zakhar Shevchka, Daria Glazatova took part in the creative process.
“It is important for me to make art accessible, so our art goes beyond the framework of classic galleries, and now also beyond the framework of classic workshops,” says Natasha Tkachenko, founder of Spilne Art.

“We are happy to welcome talented young artists to our hotel and to encourage them to share their creativity and vision with guests and Kyivans,” says Kerin Veldman, general manager of the hotel.

The idea of a pop-up gallery in a hotel demonstrated that art changes the usual environment and creates new meaning. Such an experiment opened the doors of the hotel not only for guests of the capital, but also for the citizens and became a space for inspiration and creativity.
