Stem is Fem + Spilne Art

STEM is FEM and Spilne art, with the support of international organizations UN Women in Ukraine and the United Nations Children’s Fund in Ukraine (UNICEF), created the art project “Science is she”, the goal of which is to talk about the achievements of Ukrainian women scientists and disprove the myth that that science is exclusively a man’s business.

“It is very important for me that young girls are not afraid to connect their professional path with the exact sciences and immerse themselves in the global scientific context. I’m sure that the next global discoveries will be made by women scientists,” says Natalia Tkachenko, founder of the Spilne art platform.

At the exhibition, it was possible to hear speeches by heads of international organizations, interviews with Serhiy Maidukov, interesting speeches by real scientists, and take part in a discussion panel.

The event took place as part of HeForShe Arts Week 2021, which is being held by UN Women in Ukraine for the fourth time. The He For She movement, launched by UN Women, is a global solidarity movement in support of gender equality that puts men and boys at the center
