Olena Shtepura

Olena Shtepura was born on May 10, 1994 in the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region.
Later, in 2008, she entered a specialized art school in Kyiv for the painting faculty .  Then, in 2012, she entered the National Academy of Art and Architecture, majoring in scenography, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree.  She entered the master’s degree at the department of painting, where she graduated with a red diploma.

Since her student years, she actively participated in group exhibitions and competitions.  In 2019, she held her first solo exhibition at the Portal 11 gallery in Kyiv, was accepted into the Union of Artists of Ukraine, and a year later held her second solo exhibition at Urban500 in Kyiv.  She also took part in the play “Present Perfect”
at the Odesa Children’s Theater as a scenographer and costume designer.

In 2022, she was invited to the “Halle4” residency in Austria, after that there was an exhibition in Vienna, and then a residency in Hamburg, which also ended with an exhibition.  Also, together with the Kyiv theater troupe “La La Monkey” they staged
a multi-disciplinary play based on war diaries in the Lighthof theater in Hamburg. Currently continues his creative activity abroad.
