Oleksandr Kryzhanovskyi

Multidisciplinary artist, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. He is working mainly in mediums such as painting, graphics and sculpture. In his practice he is focused on the study of the individual as a social unit, but with a set of deep archetypal and mental attitudes that come from the subconscious and have a certain conflict with external rationally established practical existence. His practice reflects on these notions as a sort of rift, that separates the world of cause from the world of effect, and which causes numerous traumas and cataclysms of varying degree and quality, from the collective to the secretly individual. Simultaniously, such gaps leave traces, where fragments consists of experience and memory. Universal human values are formed on the basics of those challenging elements even though these tendencies and aspirations are based on the alleged Babylonian scenario.
