Oksana Briukhovetska

Artist, curator, researcher, author. Her textiles are inspired by her grandmother’s embroidery from Cherkasy, as well as by Chilean arpilleras and their storytelling on everyday life and struggle which she researched while traveling to Santiago. Her practice includes topics of women’s history, memory and solidarity. 

She graduated from the National academy of art and architecture in Kyiv and obtained her MFA degree at the University of Michigan, USA. 

She curated feminist projects and exhibitions, and is a co-editor (with Lesia Kulchynska) of the interviews collection “The Right to Truth. Conversations on Art and Feminism” (2019), an editor of the collection “Meaning after Loss” (2025), an author of the book “Black Lives Matter Voices” (Choven, 2025), and of multiple texts on art.
